Senior Sales Engineer

Vitech Corporation is seeking to add a Senior Sales Engineer with a proven track record that includes the direct application of system engineering approaches and methodologies. The candidate for this position will be responsible for communicating the technical and business value of Vitech products and solutions to engineers, managers, and executives. Emphasis will be on customer qualification and supporting the closure of sales opportunities in an assigned territory. The ability to support multiple opportunities while maintaining and growing the relationship with current Vitech customers will be an essential component of the position. This position will be located at the Vitech Headquarters in Vienna, VA. Domestic and international travel required.

Specific Responsibilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Technical development and support of specific territory and account plans
Facilitating customer identification and qualification
Providing technical presentations, both in-person and via WebEx

Senior Sales Engineers will manage a variety of activities in support of the primary responsibilities outlined above: appropriate leveraging of Vitech team resources, close coordination with the territory Senior Account Executive, reporting continually evolving customer requirements to the greater Vitech team, facilitating the documentation of account progress, and maintaining an awareness of the competitive environment.

Minimum Qualification

Technical degree from an accredited college with 5+ years of professional experience or 2+ years in a professional technical sales position
Strong verbal, written and presentation skills
Individuals with initiative who are flexible, motivated, and team-oriented
Experience with Microsoft Office and Microsoft PowerPoint
Software and services solution sales experience in a high-tech marketplace
Prior systems engineering/system architecting experience on commercial, military and/or aerospace projects
Prior experience with systems and/or software engineering tools

Desired Qualifications, but not Required

Experience with government acquisition (direct government sales and/or government contractor sales)
Formal sales training
