Available Courses

Course Title
MBSE/CORE Basic Course

Description

Using case studies and real-life problems, you will learn the interfaces of CORE and how to best apply it to the management of requirements and risks, verification of system concepts, and re-engineering of processes in your workgroup. You will learn how CORE's modeling and simulation capability quickly and easily allows you to bound and verify vague requirement sets. You will build complete design models, produce supporting documentation and automatically generate the reports required for any complex system design. Throughout the week, you will receive tips from our systems engineers, which will enable you to fully maximize all components of CORE software so you can effectively manage it across domains in your environment.

Model-Based Systems Engineering for Business

Description

Systems engineering, and model-based Systems Engineering (MBSE) in particular, offer the process manager design power and value adding approaches. Whether it is used in the design of new systems or the improvement of existing processes, MBSE is a proven approach. This course, designed for the manager interacting with system process design and/or improvement, explains the value of MBSE to such an effort. It covers the use of MBSE in managing dynamic and diverse requirements, handling organizational change and minimizing and mitigating risk. The manager is introduced to the use of iterative interview techniques and modeling for process capture and organizational cultural buy-in.

Model-Based Systems Engineering for Services Oriented Architectures

Description

The Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) is a powerful tool for managers who need to capitalize on economies of scale and the efficient allocation of scarce resources in their organization. This course is designed to explain the SOA as seen from the manager's perspective. Taught from a non-technical process-oriented point of view, it highlights the particular advantages that a SOA offers the enterprise business processes and the pitfalls and costs of developing the SOA. It explains the role of MBSE in leveraging those advantages while minimizing the risks and costs. Whether you are exploring the possibility of instituting a SOA or are already involved in its development this course will be useful.

Fundamentals of Reporting in GENESYS

Description

You will learn the intuitive and user friendly reporting capability of the new GENESYS tool. You will craft custom reports from “scratch” as well as through basic templates. Your reports, created through GENESYS’ Visual Basic .Net reporting tools, will say what YOU need to say about YOUR models. This course shows you the way.
